The purpose of the video production project is to experience how outlining and planning are important for producing high quality results.
We wrote a script to get what the characters say in our film. Then we realized that it is a silent film!
My group and I created a storyboard to help us outline our film.
In this picture, we are shooting a shot in scene number two. We did a classroom scene and this is when the picture was taken.
Describe the final results:
The video turned out good. I think it is both awkward and funny at the same time. It took more time than I thought though.
What do you know now that you didn't know when you started this project?
I learned how to write a script in the write format
I learned how to create a storyboard
I learned how to use lights and different tools during filming
I learned how to edit a video together
What advice would you give to future students about this project?
If the shot isn't what you wanted, film it again. Film more that you think you need.
What else would you like to try that you didn't have time for?
I would like to add some blank space between scenes to create a bit of transition. Right now scene transitions are too quick.
What proof do you have that shows you learned the project’s purpose?
My storyboard really help me remember what shots I still needed to get. It was a great plan to have.
