The purpose of the Arcade Project is to learn how to connect the digital world with the real world using programming and construction.
Today, I logged into makecode arcade and completed a skill map.
Today, I did a tutorial called barrel dodger and played around with it for a bit.
I was supposed to do one more tutorial, but I got sick and didn't get to do it.
today I finished a tutorial called galga.
Today, I made a synthesized app. Synthesize means to combine two things to make a new product. I combined the Barrel Dodger and Galga tutorials to make my synthesized app. The objective is to avoid pink monsters by jumping over or shooting them with projectiles.
Today, I partnered up, gave, and received feedback for my synthesized app. My partner's feedback was:
Make the player have more mobility
Have a time limit
Have more monsters spawn
Have different monsters.
I am going to add more monsters, make a time limit, and make my monsters spawn faster.
Today, I planned out my final game and started making it. My game is going to be a brain teaser. You try to touch the colors in that the word says, not the color of the word.
I finished my app today. I also touched it up by adding time and a point system. I also started making my logos, which are for the arcade.
Today, I started to make my vector art arcade page. To the left is my final product and down is my company logo.
FINAL ARCADE ENTRY!!!
Today, I finished making my logos (which took a very long time)
Reflection:
What do you know now that you didn't know when you started this project?
I realized that there are a lot of variables that I did not think about when I started coding
What advice would you give to future students about this project?
Don't give up! Challenges are good for you.
What else would you like to try that you didn't have time for?
I would like to try to make different levels.
What proof do you have that shows you learned the project’s purpose?
You can tell that I learned the project's purpose by seeing that I can use programming (digital world) to make you think about things as simple as colors (real world).
