Birthdays
We love birthdays!
If your student has a birthday and you'd like to send in cupcakes for the class, please just check with your child's teacher to find out the number of students and to let her know so she can plan for the treat. This is especially important if your student shares a birthday week with classmates -- better to have two days of cupcakes than to have two cupcakes on one day!
We do ask that you send cupcakes (or individual treats) that are easily distributed and nut-free. Please don't send cakes that need to be cut or cupcakes that have been iced together to form a larger shape. Students and teachers have a very limited time for lunch, and we like to keep the mess to a minimum out of courtesy to our custodians.
A note about birthday party invitations:
School policy is that invitations may only be passed out at school if every classmate is receiving an invitation. We understand that this isn't always practical and that it can be costly. However, we hope you will understand and make other arrangements to get invitations to selected students in some other way outside of school.
