Retake Policy
Although not required to do so, third grade has decided to adopt the retake policy for major assessments followed by grades 4-6 in Anderson School District 4. Below is the policy as it appears in the district handbook:
Although not required to do so, third grade has decided to adopt the retake policy for major assessments followed by grades 4-6 in Anderson School District 4. Below is the policy as it appears in the district handbook:
“Students in grades 4-6 are allowed to retake tests. The following rules apply:

-Only applies to major assessments

-Can only exercise retake option on one assessment per subject per nine weeks

-Eligible for half credit on the standards/questions missed

-Only grades of 79 and below may request to exercise retake

-Only retake the standards/questions that were missed

-Must be completed within 7 days of receiving the original grade

-Student’s responsibility to request exercise of the retake option

Please note that if your student retakes an assessment, they will NOT receive the exact same questions/test. The third grade teachers will work to put together a comparable assessment.
