Attendance

Third grade moves very quickly! Because we have so many standards to cover, it is very important that your student be here and on time every day if possible so that they don't fall behind.

Here are some important reminders regarding attendance:

~  Parent notes can be accepted to excuse up to 5 absences per year.  More than 5 parent notes warrant an Attendance Intervention Plan.

~   Doctor’s notes should be sent when your child is out due to an appointment.

~   Allow plenty of time for your child to walk upstairs and down the hall.  Children should be in the classroom no later than 7:45. Tardy students must be signed in to the office and will receive choice A for lunch if the lunch count has already been submitted.

~   As a reminder, school breakfast is available free of charge to all students. Students who plan to eat breakfast should arrive by 7:30 am.

~   More than 10 tardies warrant an Attendance Intervention Plan.

~   Tardies & early sign-outs affect perfect attendance.
