John and Betty Weiland had five girls – Betty Ann, Marguerite, Barb, Helen and Judy – and one boy, Bill. John started at Murphy where he became the owner. He continued a fine deli with a nice selection of meats, salads and baked goods. After requests for catering, he decided to go more in that direction – various events and many weddings.
For over 30 years, Belmont Catering served the Dayton metropolitan area with a wide range of full-service catering options. Whether a casual or elegant event, Belmont’s delicious food and unparalleled customer service was second to none. Family owned and operated, Belmont maintained a personalized service approach guaranteed to meet every client’s individual needs. From company picnics to formal wedding receptions, Belmont’s clients could be assured that their needs were met by a quality caterer with over 30 years of experience.
Helen and Joe owned the business until they retired around 2007. Helen’s recipe for cabbage rolls and potato salad is still delicious!
Belmont Catering continues to serve at events throughout the Dayton area today.
