You are the whole of creation and the creator in kind,
You match all of the water on the Earth combined.
We are nothing more than drops in your ever-growing sea.
We are all one and the same, as you are within me.
Droplets thrown from you into the sky crash to the Earth;
Each with no meaning when alone at birth.
Born into a family, our small little puddle,
We form ourselves within this huddle.
Some going immediately back into the sky and return,
Leaving the rest to wonder why and yearn,
Yet we all must leave to form our lives.
To be independent is for what each of us strive.
Some flow into rivers and fall into streams,
Some lie in dark lakes or on trees and gleam,
Yet each of us makes our way back to your endless sea.
For we are forever and always small portions of thee.
