Evaluation of cardiac status for a patient with COPD and pneumonia presenting with shortness of breath and decreased oxygen saturation.
Technique:
Standard 12-lead ECG
Findings:
Rhythm: Normal Sinus Rhythm
Heart Rate: Approximately 80 bpm
P Waves: Present, upright, and consistent before each QRS complex in Leads I, II, and aVF.
PR Interval: Normal (0.12 - 0.20 seconds)
QRS Complex: Normal width (0.06 - 0.10 seconds), without significant abnormalities.
ST Segment: No evidence of ST elevation or depression.
T Waves: Normal morphology, no inversion or hyperacute changes.
Axis: Normal
QT Interval: Within normal limits.
Impression:
Normal Sinus Rhythm.
No evidence of ischemia, infarction, or other acute cardiac abnormalities.
No arrhythmias or conduction abnormalities noted.
Recommendations:
Continue monitoring cardiac status as part of routine care.
Repeat ECG if symptoms such as chest pain or palpitations develop.
