Objective Abstract = filled with objects you may recognize
Non Objective Abstract = is simply lines, shapes and other elements of arts, up for interpretation.
Watch this loom video that another art teacher had put together that tells you more about Kandinsky and our challenge for the day.
Then using a paper and pencil, use the image with symbols to "map" out what your week has looked like. For example if you ate cereal every morning this week you will have about 4 of those symbols on your page spread out randomly overlapping and turned all directions. An example is below of someones personal week in symbols.
After you have all your symbols on the page, use color with markers, crayons or color pencils to finish off the artwork. You can also use black lines to outline the shapes and lines.
You will see your own non objective artwork come to life, that is inspired by Wassily Kandinsky.
This challenge is so you can see how your week is going. This example above, shows someone worried and stressed who stayed mostly inside. What will your weekly map look like?
