One Point Perspective

<----This link is where I used a lot of my information with our perspective drawing. Julie Duell is a great Australian artist that had wonderful explanations. If you want to review or simply want more information on perspective, she is a wealth of knowledge.

Here is a step by step tutorial how to draw a room with one point perspective. This is meant for a flat piece of paper. Click to print and use the box to draw.

<-----This link is where I found the template for this reverse perspective idea. The diagram below is a template to use for the perspective to create form. Click on the diagram below to print a copy of the template.

This template isn't going to be flat once you finish, so when you are drawing the reverse perspective, you will use the green dot (vanishing point) for the floor and the purple dot (vanishing point for the ceiling. ( If yours doesn't color print, make sure you know which is which.)

My Requirements on your room: (at least)

One doorway
Two Window (two on one side or one on each side)
One picture/artwork hanging
some kind of floor (wood, tile)
one ceiling detail (light fixture or skylight window)

Create how you'd like, these are just basic requirements I added to get you started. Coloring is optional, but will add a great deal of excitement to the room. Using bold and bright colors like markers will make the picture stand out more.
