SCHEDULE

Please keep in mind that you are entering a recent disaster zone. Situations on the ground will quickly evolve, and we will do our best to communicate those changes as soon as possible. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding that the environment is unpredictable and new developments may affect our scope of work, the pace of work, schedule, and logistics.

Mondays through Thursdays - New volunteers arrive before 7:00 pm

Mondays to Saturdays - Work days

Sundays - Day off for rest

Every second weekend, we will rest Saturday and Sunday.

There may also be occasional needs from partner NGOs and camps for volunteer teams to operate outside of normal work hours to meet an urgent need in the community. We will discuss these occasions with all volunteers in advance and try to take people's interest and preferences into account as much as possible when planning the work teams. This may not always be possible. If you are scheduled to work late we will try to schedule a late morning start for you the following day

Please be aware that we are still in a rapidly changing situation, and the schedule may change to accommodate the needs of the program:

6:00 Lights on, quiet hours end, and, breakfast

7:30 Leave to site

15:30 Returns from site

17:30 Dinner

21:00 Curfew begins, all volunteers and staff back on base ( On days we have a working day the following day)

22:00 Curfew begins, all volunteers and staff back on base ( On days we have a day off the following day)

21:30 Quiet hours and lights out ( On days we have a working day the following day)

22:30 Quiet hours and lights out (On days we have a day off the following day)

On some of these days, you will be given a day off from work. Some of these dates, we will not be scheduling arrivals on these days to allow for all staff to receive a day off as well. Please note, you are welcome to stay on base for these holidays.

• May 19th (Fri) - Labour and Solidarity Day

• June 30th- July 2nd (Fri-Sun) - Kurban Bayramı

• July 15th (Sat) - Democracy and National Solidarity Day

• August 30th (Wed) - Victory Day

We’ve committed to stay in Türkiye until at least October 1st, 2023. This is a subject to be changed, and there is a possibility of extending if there is a need and if we have enough resources and financial capacity.
