TRAVELING TO PROGRAM

We recommend you fly into Kahramanmaras Airport (KCM). You can get domestic Turkish Airlines Flights from Istanbul Airports (IST and SAW) to Kahramanmaras (KCM) airport.

If you are arriving in Adana, you will need to take a bus to Maras. Taxis to Adana bus station are available from all hotels and the airport. Uber also works in Adana. Once in Adana bus terminal choose any bus company (Kamil Koç is preferred). Tickets should cost about $150 Turkish Lira per person. Tickets can be booked online through obilet.com (though the website is not always functional). The journey takes 2.5 hours. Disembark at Kahramanmaraş ("Marash" for short) bus terminal.

Our Volunteer Coordination Team Managers will process your application and provide all the information you need to prepare for program. They are based remotely and can support you with any questions you have before you arrive. You can reach the team at turkiyeearthquakerelief@allhandsandhearts.org.

Typically, our Volunteer Relations Coordinator, Lucy, who is based on the ground, will call all incoming volunteers approximately 7 - 10 days prior to your arrival.
