PACKING
Shopping is best done at home, so please come prepared.
Be prepared for any clothing you wear on the work site to get ruined and dirty. Please see the following lists for required and recommended items:
REQUIRED
Work Boots: These should be sturdy work boots or hiking boots, they must be closed-toe. Puncture-proof soles and steel toe boots are recommended (no Converse or running shoes/trainers allowed on site).
A copy of the COVID-19 test Antigen Test/home test taken within 72 hours of arrival or prior to your international travel.
Photo ID/Passport and Vaccination Documentation

Travel while wearing a face covering (cloth mask, 3-ply or N-95). We will provide disposable masks while on program.
Bedding: high-quality sleeping bag that is suitable for hot temperatures as well as a sleeping pad/air travel mattress, pillow, pillowcases, bed sheets, and blanket. This will not be provided.
Personal items: toiletries (please consider bringing biodegradable soaps to protect the local environment), and towel.
Work clothes: You should bring pants/shorts-knee long to work in. No shorts or leggings are allowed on site. We provide purple short-sleeved work shirts, you can bring long-sleeved shirts or sun-protection arm sleeves.
Sun protection: Sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat, electrolytes.
Personal cash and ATM/credit card
Good to have
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (such as ear protection and gloves.) We will provide this equipment, but we encourage volunteers to bring their own when possible.
Vitamins, food supplements ( recommended if dietary restriction).
Personal first aid kit, including any medication e.g. paracetamol, oral rehydration salts, antidiarrheals, etc. (We are unable to provide any medication).
Any “comfort” snacks or essentials you may not be able to get nearby base, for example, coffee, peanut butter.
Mosquito net
Shower shoes/Flip flops
Lots of socks (these tend to disappear in a communal living environment)
Normal clothes (for after work and days off)
Lightweight rain jacket.
Books, games, or other forms of entertainment
Cell phone and battery pack.
Earplugs and sleep mask
Sharpie (for marking your belongings)
