Multi-factor Authentication
CRCD employees who manage CRCD Facebook pages are encouraged to set up multi-factor authentication for your Facebook account. If your personal account is compromised, the CRCD page may be compromised as well. UAF OIT maintains information on how to set up Duo multi-factor authentication.
To connect Duo to your Facebook, tap in the top right of Facebook > scroll down and tap Settings, then tap Password and security > scroll down and tap Use two-factor authentication > choose the security method you want to add and follow the on-screen instructions.

Passwords
Refer to the UA Security Matters Passwords Tips & Advice resource for advice on creating strong passwords.
All CRCD social account passwords should be housed on the CRCD Passwords Google Sheet. This ensures that accounts will continue to be maintained in the case of personnel changes, computer crashes, forgotten passwords, etc. Please send your login information to the CRCD Communications Manager.
Settings and Privacy
For Facebook, go to settings->privacy->page and tagging. Change settings so only you can post on your page, and review posts you are tagged in before they appear on your page.
For Instagram and Twitter, go to settings->privacy and security. Change Photos of You to add manually, allow mentions from only people you follow, and allow tags from only people you follow.
