Create a Flyer
Course flyers can be very effective when printed and distributed in your community. General University Relations flyer template options are great for easy branding and communication organization.
I will be creating templates for course flyers that can be modified and personalized for your campus, department and prospective audience. Until these are completed, please connect with me as needed for assistance in creating a flyer.
Share the digital flyer with your campus social media admin and the CIS Communications Manager so they can identify what to post on Facebook and Instagram.
Send the flyer as a PNG and include the course description, CRN, meeting times, delivery, and instructor in the email.
Promote on Website
Many campuses and departments maintain a list of all courses being offered each semester. Make sure your course is updated in the list, and the list is shared with the CIS Communications Manager. This is the best way to ensure your course is posted on the website.
If your campus does not maintain a list, you can contact the CIS Communications Manager directly with your course information. Include the course description, CRN, meeting times, delivery, and instructor in the email. The Communications Manager will then update the relevant website with your course info.
Course flyers will not be posted on CIS websites or social media platforms as they do not meet accessibility requirements.
Send in Email
One of the most effective ways to promote courses (or anything in general) is to reach out directly to your community. Email your course flyer to community partners, fellow faculty, or former student who may be interested. Always be respectful of people’s space and be sure not to send multiple emails or pressure people into registering or sharing your course.
Post Printed Fliers
Print a small number of flyers and post them around your campus or community. All flyers posted on the Troth Yeddha’ campus must have the date they are posted visible. Please review the designated flier hanging guidelines here.
