Logos
Logo usage
Treat the logo as artwork, not as typography. The logo should be treated as a graphic icon.
The logo should never feel like it’s crowded or competing for attention. To avoid this, always allow ample clear space around it. This space is measured by the height of the “A” in Alaska and extends around the entire perimeter of the logo.
How to Maintain Unique Logos
Many departments and rural campuses use logos that represent the unique locations, communities, and programs that make up CIS. These logos are important to the recognition and visibility in our communities, and existed before the current UAF logo. These logos have been grandfathered into UAF guidelines.
UAF co-branding guidelines require “University of Alaska
Fairbanks” to be removed from unique logos. The graphic with the campus/department name can then be used in addition to the unedited UAF and CIS logo.

The University is currently working through updating all logos, so your campus logo pack will change. I will notify you when it does.
