I am happy to share that we have a tool that can be used by all of our campuses, departments, faculty and staff to organize CIS events and deadlines in one place. This will also be a tool to conglomerate UAF and community events that may be of interest to CIS faculty, staff, and students.
You can add this calendar to your Google Calendar space, as well as add events to it. Additions to the calendar will go through an approval process before showing up on the shared platform.
You can also add the calendar through the embedded link. Once you do this, you will be able to see all events and deadlines added to it.
How to request an addition to this calendar - via Google Calendar for desktop browser:
Create the event on your personal calendar by clicking the "Create" bubble in the top left of your screen.
Include all relevant details, links, contacts for more information.
Staying in your event editing page, on the right side of Google Calendar , you will see a section titled "guests".
Click "add guests"
If you have added the CIS Events & Deadlines Calendar to your personal calendar all you will need to do is begin typing "CIS Events...", a drop down menu will appear where you can click to invite this calendar.
If you have not added this calendar you will need to manually invite the calendar via the following email address:

You must click "Modify Event" under Guest permissions for this event to transfer correctly.
Your event request will be added to the shared College of Rural & Community Development Events & Deadlines Calendar upon approval from administration.
