Junior Digital Technologies
Junior Digital Technologies
In Y7 and 8 Digital Technologies focuses on developing students' ability to think like computer scientists. During the two term course students become familiar with what an algorithm is and learn how to create an algorithm for a real-world task. Students learn the basic components of a computer and touch on binary and other computational principles. They also learn to code with loops and decisions in a variety of applications including Minecraft and Microsoft Makecode.
Assessment projects are 'open' and students design a digital artifact of their choosing to demonstrate what they have learned.
