The Communications Department is responsible for facilitating the weekly all-school newsletter, Izindaba. The word Izindaba is a Zulu word that means ‘news.' The weekly email contains links to the Izindaba and the divisional updates.

If you want to contribute articles to the school newsletter, please get in touch with the Communications Department at AISJ-Communications@aisj-jhb.com. Content must be handed in at least two days before the edition is published. The Izindaba is a tool the school uses to share information about school events throughout the year.

Email is the primary mode of communication at AISJ. All school communication will be sent from AISJ-Communications@aisj-jhb.com. All divisional specific communication will be sent from the divisional offices. 

All school events can be accessed via the ‘Calendar’ tab on all the portals. We urge parents to please use the electronic calendars; if there are changes to an event, they will reflect there. The calendar are also available on the Mobile App.

The use of the official AISJ logo / AISJ Eagles / AISJ Spirit Wear as well as any logo developed by the Communications Office for specific events/tournaments needs to be approved by the Communications Office before being reproduced on any platform or merchandise.

Occasionally, AISJ receives requests from outside publications who would like to feature the school and its students in their stories/articles/websites. Where a request is made for such photos should you have opted out of the external image/ video sharing when you completed the enrollment agreements, the adult in charge of the project will contact the parents directly for permission for their image/s to be used outside of AISJ.

We will need to obtain permission from parents if the video and/or photos are used on any non-AISJ-managed platform.
