Circulation

AIS Library patrons (Parents) are allowed to check out:

• Up to ten books for the duration of two books.

• AIS library patrons will not be allowed to check out books unless their accounts are in good standing from the previous year (no material checked out past the due date), including no overdue materials. However, we can put the book(s) on hold for 2 days to give you time to clear your account. 

AIS Student Borrowing Privileges

• Kindergartners may borrow one book at a time.

• Students in Grade 1 may borrow one book in English & one book in Arabic, French, or Spanish.

• Students in Grade 2 may borrow up to two books in English & one book in Arabic, French, or Spanish.

• Students in Grade 3 may borrow up to three books in English & one book in Arabic, French, or Spanish.

• Students in Grades 4 may borrow up to four books in English & one book in Arabic, French, or Spanish.

• Students in Grades 5 may borrow up to four books in English & one book in Arabic, French, or Spanish.

• Students in Grades 6 -12 may borrow up to four books in English & one book in Arabic, French, or Spanish.

Overdue Books

• Students and parents can request a list of their overdue books at any time.  

• AIS students with any overdue items will not be able to check out additional items until the overdue item is returned or the cost for the lost or damaged item is satisfied.

• AIS students will be given an overdue notice when attempting to check out additional books with overdue items that have not been returned (they can satisfy the bill at any time in order to restore their library privileges).

• All items are checked out for two weeks, unless they are in high demand.

• There are no fines for overdue materials. 

• Please return your books on time. 

• Book(s)/material(s) can be renewed to avoid an overdue problem.

• Sharing resources is a sign of good citizenship and community.

Lost Books

The library should be notified immediately if a book is lost.  A charge for the replacement cost of the book will be assessed (400 LE minimum charge for the English book; 100 LE for the Arabic book).  If the book is found within a three month period by the patron, the money will be refunded.

Sunday - Wednesday, 7:45 am - 3:30 pm

Thursday, 7:45 am - 3:00 pm
