Mystery Readers Program

In December, the AIS library launched a KG1 - Grade 2 Mystery Readers’ program where a parent, guardian, relative, or sibling were invited to bring their favorite book to read and share with the students. The identity of the reader was kept a secret until the reader entered the library on the scheduled day. Additionally, the guest could bring props or crafts that were related to the book. Students listened to a variety of the most popular stories and were exposed to readers other than their teachers. Comparatively, students were exposed to adults that read while simultaneously providing excellent examples of role models and simply had fun!
