The following applies to any assessments that are scheduled during the shutdown period:
Years 6-8
All assessments that are research-based and can be supported online will go ahead. Some changes to the nature of tasks, and the timing of tasks, have been made to the assessment booklets published at the start of the year.
If required, evidence of completed work, such as quizzes through Google Classroom, will be used to form a teacher judgment grade for a report.
Years 9-12
Coursework required for external examination grades will be supported during this time.
Curriculum Coordinators will oversee this process.
Assessments occurring after a shutdown:
As students are expected to be proactive with their work during the closure, once advice has been given on school reopening, AIS will adjust assessment booklets as required.
Priority is given to exam years in this scenario.
External Examinations occurring during a shutdown:
These will be handled on a case by case basis; curriculum coordinators will advise as necessary.
