General
UN 3166, Engine internal combustion, or Vehicle, flammable gas powered, or Vehicle, flammable liquid powered
Teleport would like to inform our valued customers about a new regulation requiring any kind of vehicle is declared as Dangerous Goods under Class 9 of Dangerous Goods Regulation.
Vehicles that wants to be ship shall be harmless, This requires shipper's to:
• Isolate the battery
• Empty the fuel tank
Transport of Vehicles which contain an internal combustion engine shall be consigned under the entries UN 3166 below:
ENGINE, INTERNAL COMBUSTION
VEHICLE, FLAMMABLE GAS POWERED
VEHICLE, FLAMMABLE LIQUID POWERED
ENGINE, FUEL CELL, FLAMMABLE GAS POWERED
ENGINE, FUEL CELL, FLAMMABLE LIQUID POWERED
VEHICLE, FUEL CELL, FLAMMABLE GAS POWERED
VEHICLE, FUEL CELL, FLAMMABLE LIQUID POWERED
Vehicles or equipment which contain a fuel cell or hybrid electric vehicles powered by both an internal combustion engine; and wet batteries, sodium batteries or lithium batteries, transported with the battery(ies) installed shall be consigned under the entries :
UN 3166 FUEL CELL VEHICLE WITH FLAMMABLE GAS
Transport of Vehicles which contain an internal combustion engine
UN 3166 FUEL CELL VEHICLE WITH FLAMMABLE LIQUID
Transport of Vehicles which contain both an internal combustion engine; and wet batteries, sodium batteries or lithium batteries, transported with the battery(ies) installed.

Acceptance

General
Freighters can accept Dangerous Goods classes as per passenger aircraft and also class 1 and 7.
Acceptance of DG Class 1 (explosives) and 7 (radioactive) is subject to ad hoc permit applications from CAAM. Standard DG acceptance process is applicable as per IATA Dangerous Goods Manual.
