Dmitri Mendeleev

Dimitri Mendeleev nasceu na cidade de Tobolsk na Rússia a 8 de fevereiro de 1834 e veio a falecer a 2 de fevereiro de 1907(com 72 anos) graças a uma pneumonia.

Na escola Dimitri destacou-se em ciências e para que o filho fosse matriculado em uma universidade tiveram que se mudar para Moscow, o que não tiveram sucesso por conta das condições restritas, então foram para São Petersburgo, na que tiveram sucesso. Em 1859 Dimitri recebeu uma verba do governo, na que podia estudar por 2 anos no exterior, foi para Paris, sendo o seu professor Henri Regnault e depois seguiu com os seus estudos para Alemanha onde transformou o seu apartamento em um mini-laboratório.

Em 1869, Mendeleev organizou os elementos na forma da tabela periódica atual. Ele criou uma carta para cada um dos 63 elementos conhecidos. Ele também se dedicou ao estudo da natureza e origem do petróleo. além de ter sido considerado o fundador da agroquímica no seu país. No entanto, o trabalho pelo qual ele foi amplamente reconhecido no mundo inteiro como o criador da tabela periódica.

At school, Dimitri excelled in science and in order for his son to be enrolled in a university, they had to move to Moscow, which they were unsuccessful in due to the restricted conditions, so they went to Saint Petersburg, where they were successful. In 1859, Dimitri received a grant from the government, allowing him to study abroad for 2 years. He went to Paris, with Henri Regnault as his teacher, and then continued his studies in Germany, where he transformed his apartment into a mini-laboratory.

In 1869, when he wrote his book of organig chemistry, Mendeleev organized the elements in form of the current periodic table.He created a letter for each one of  the 63 know elements. He dedicated to the study of nature and the origin of oil, besides having been considerated the founder of agrochemistry in hhis country. However, the job by wich he was broadly recognized in the whole world like the creator of the periodic table.
