Charles Darwin

Essencial para a compreensão da evolução da espécie, Charles Darwin foi um naturalista e biólogo britânico. Nasceu a 12 de fevereiro de 1809, em Shrewsbury e faleceu a 19 de abril  de 1882, em Dawn, Kent. Após várias disciplinas, Darwin interessou-se pela História Natural  e quando terminou os seus estudos, embarcou como naturalista no navio Beagle. Ao longo da sua carreira, desenvolveu a sua teoria e em 1859 publicou a sua obra «A Origem das Espécies pela Seleção Natural» que o tornou célebre.  

A sua teoria que defendia que o Ser Humano foi originado pelos símios causou grande polémica na altura pela Igreja e ainda hoje é motivo de grande discussão.

Essential to understanding the evolution of the species, Charles Darwin was a British naturalist and biologist. He was born on 12 February 1809 in Shrewsbury and died on 19 April 1882 in Dawn, Kent. After several disciplines, Darwin became interested in Natural History and when he finished his studies, he embarked as a naturalist on the ship Beagle. Throughout his career, he developed his theory and in 1859 published his work «The Origin of Species by Mean Natural Selection» which made him famous.

His theory thar the Human Being was originated by the apes caused great controversy at the time by the Church and still today is the subject of great discussion.
