Keep family housed
When “Michelle” came to the Laura Miller Family Resource Center, she was on the brink of losing everything.
A full-time working mother, she was doing everything she could to provide for her children. But rising winter utility costs pushed her already tight budget too far. Soon, she was behind on rent, facing eviction, and at risk of having her electricity shut off.
She wasn’t asking for a handout.
She was asking for a chance to stay afloat.
That’s where ACSRC stepped in.
Through emergency assistance, Michelle’s rent and utilities were brought current, preventing eviction and keeping her family safely in their home. In a moment of crisis, that support meant everything.
The fear of losing their home was replaced with stability.
The uncertainty was replaced with relief.
But the support didn’t stop there.
With guidance from a Housing Advocate, Michelle began building a stronger financial foundation, learning budgeting strategies and planning for the future. She gained not only practical tools, but the confidence that she could move forward.
Today, Michelle and her children remain safely housed.
Her children have the stability to focus on school, friendships, and simply being kids.
She didn’t lose her home.
Because someone stepped in at the right time.
For many families, it doesn’t take much to fall into crisis.
But with timely support, it also doesn’t take much to prevent it.
Your donation helps families like Michelle’s stay housed, avoid eviction, and move toward long-term stability.

A place to start
When Suzanne came to Room at the Inn, she had been living without stable housing for a long time. She was exhausted, facing the daily realities of homelessness, and not yet ready to take steps toward recovery.
What she needed first was simple, but critical.
A safe place to sleep. A warm meal. A moment to breathe.
At Room at the Inn, she found all of that, and something more. She was treated with dignity. She was welcomed without conditions. She was given space to rest and begin to trust again.
Our staff and volunteers met her where she was, offering support without pressure and connecting her to resources she can access when she is ready.
Suzanne didn’t leave with all the answers.
But she left with something just as important. A starting point.
Not everyone is ready for the same step at the same time.
But everyone deserves safety, compassion, and the opportunity to move forward.
Your support makes that possible.

A hand up when it matters most
Sometimes, all it takes is one moment to change everything.
After a house fire left their home unlivable, a father and his adult son found themselves without a safe place to stay. With no family nearby and nowhere to turn, they were suddenly facing homelessness.
What they needed wasn’t long-term intervention.
They needed stability - right when it mattered most.
That’s where ACSRC stepped in.
Through the Summit Transitional Housing Program, they were able to stay in a safe, stable environment while their home was being repaired. In the middle of uncertainty, they had a place to land.
Even during a short stay, they took the opportunity to refocus, set goals, and move forward with confidence.
Because of that support, they were able to return home - not to crisis, but to stability.
Not every situation requires long-term support.
But every situation requires the right support at the right time.
Your donation provides that critical bridge to help individuals and families avoid homelessness and regain stability when life takes an unexpected turn.
