What are NAP Tax Credits?
NAP tax credits are an incentive from the Missouri Department of Economic Development to encourage philanthropic donations of qualifying gifts to Missouri non-profits. A qualifying NAP tax credit gift to the Audrain County Shelter Resource Coalition’s Summit Transitional Housing Program or Community Resource Center qualifies for a 70% tax credit.
Who is eligible to receive Missouri NAP Tax Credits?
Corporations, individuals who own sole proprietorship, operate a farm, have rental property or have royalty income; a shareholder in an S-Corporation; a partner in a Partnership or member of an LLC; financial institutions (banks, credit institutions, savings and loan associations, credit unions, farmer’s cooperative credit associations, building, and loan associations); small business corporation, and insurance companies are all eligible.
What size contribution is required to receive Missouri NAP Tax Credits from ACSRC?
The minimum contribution amount to receive Missouri NAP Tax Credits from ACSRC is $1,000.
When can the Tax Credits be claimed?
The credit may first be claimed on taxes due for the year the contribution was made and may be extended for five additional tax years until the credit is exhausted.
When are the Missouri NAP Tax Credits available?
Eligible donations qualify during the period of 7/1/24 through 6/30/26 or until the tax credits are exhausted.
