A safe place to sleep. A place to start again.
Providing warmth, dignity, and hope during the coldest nights.
Room at the Inn is a warming shelter designed to provide emergency shelter during the coldest winter months. The shelter can house any individual or family who needs a safe, warm place to stay from December 1 until the end of February. Located at 626 E. Summit, Mexico, MO, Room at the Inn is open from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Guests at Room at the Inn receive much more than shelter because ACSRC ensures the staff and volunteers are knowledgeable and compassionate. This means every person who walks through the door will be listened to and cared for. ACSRC staff and volunteers are well-informed about available resources that can assist guests.
Along with companionship and assistance, every evening guests receive a warm, often home-cooked meal. When our guests leave in the morning, they do not leave empty-handed. Thanks to our supportive community, we can provide personal hygiene items like deodorant, shampoo, and conditioner; food items like peanut butter crackers, apples, and water bottles; and items that keep our guests comfortable, like crew socks, stocking caps, and gloves.
