Project #10: 12-Bar Blues
STUDENT OUTCOME: To create a unique 12-bar blues arrangement and record a blues solo.

ASSIGNMENT:
This Project builds upon all of the previous projects in the course so far and focuses on individual recording and arranging skills.
Select/Add the instruments you want to use in your Blues Song. At least 2 tracks, ideally 3-4. (Example: Piano for chords, Bass for a single bass line, Drums or some type of percussive pattern, and a solo instrument.)
Play or Draw (using the Pencil Tool) the 12-bar blues chord progression using I IV & V or V7.
Play or Draw a solo melody over the chord progression.
Mix & Balance each track taking into consideration Panning, EQ, Reverb & Automation.
Optional: Lengthen the song to 24-bars.
TIMELINE: 4-5 Classes
Submission
In the main window of Logic, scroll all the way to the right & drag the small grey arrow in the top-right over to where your song ends.
Take a screenshot of your project (shift ⌘3).
Bounce (⌘B) the entire project to audio/m4a.
Add the m4a audio file to your Elec Music Folder in your Drive.
Click the Share Button > change the View settings to Allow Anyone > Copy URL link.
Go to your Google Site >
Pages > Projects > Duplicate the page of your last project (click on the 3 dots)
Rename Page to "12-Bar Blues"
Select Embed & paste the URL Link (⌘V)
Click on Images & Upload the screenshot.
