Geography

The study of Geography introduces pupils to our changing world, its human interactions and impacts, and the natural processes that are at work in its different landscapes. In particular, the connections between human and natural environments are stressed throughout all the Geography topics.

Pupils will develop the knowledge and skills to enable them to contribute to their local communities and wider society. The study of Geography fosters positive life-long attitudes of environmental stewardship, sustainability and global citizenship.

Practical activities, including fieldwork, are a key part of Geography and provide opportunities for pupils to interact with their environment.

The contexts for study range from local to national, international and global.
