Courses are based on the Experiences and Outcomes for Art and Design, and outcomes, where appropriate, in Literacy, Numeracy and Health & Well Being. Pupils experience a wide variety of activities including- observing and recording, experimenting with a range of media to create images and objects, developing design solutions in response to a brief, and expressing considered opinions about their own and others work and the work of artists and designers. Pupils have the opportunity to work individually and in groups and are encouraged to evaluate, display and review ‘best’ work, in the department, around the school and in the wider community.
