2024 - YEAR IN REVIEW
2024 - YEAR IN REVIEW
For the past five years, it has been my honor and privilege to work with the women and men of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. We take pride in serving you through prevention, education, EMS, and fire. This annual report represents the dedication and hard work accomplished in 2024 by your fire department. I truly believe we live and work in the best place, and I am grateful and humbled by the commitment of all our public safety members. I want to thank the community for their continuous support. We take pride in answering the call in your time of need and hope to always make a positive difference in a community we love.
This year was exceptionally busy, and our call volume increased to 96,381 service calls in 2024. Our first responders approach every call with kindness, professionalism, technical proficiency, and, most importantly, a high level of customer service. Their hours of professional training, unwavering determination, and compassion throughout the past year continue to show the pride and resiliency of what firefighters and EMS clinicians do day in and day out. Major events like the collapse of the Key Bridge, extreme weather, or devastating fires remind us that the needs of trained Fire and EMS crews are essential services in our communities.
