The model and characteristics of the Google application suite make it particularly useful when collaboration is important - a key component of much of our work.
Key points:
The Google application suite tools cannot each be fully understood in isolation, as one of the main strengths is the interaction that occurs between them.
They cannot be regarded simply as web versions of conventional desktop applications, as they were developed using a completely different model.
The best results cannot be achieved by trying to make make Mail, Calendar etc work in the same way as Microsoft Office applications.
The Google suite challenges us to take a fresh look at our way of working and discover new approaches that exploit the strengths of the new models.
