Amendments to the Bylaws
- Bylaws can be amended at both monthly Board Meetings and State Convention B7.1
- Any WJCL member may propose a bylaw amendment by sending it to the Parliamentarian for consideration B7.2
- The initial versions of any proposed bylaw should be sent to all chapters at least 15 days prior to its attempted ratification
- For a bylaw to be passed (ratified)...
- at a Board Meeting, there must be a 2/3 majority of the Executive Board in favor (excluding votes of abstention) B7.4
- at State Convention, there must be a simple majority of the delegates in favor B7.4
- At a Board Meeting, the proposed amendments can be further amended and then passed B7.3
