Eligibility
Be currently enrolled or expect to be enrolled in a degree program (2 years of length or greater) by September
Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and submit an answer to the essay question prior to the submission deadline
Be a US resident or a Canadian resident and must also attend a school in Canada or the US
Essay Topic
Write an essay about a situation you have been involved in or someone you know has been involved in where better safety procedures would have prevented an injury. Explain in detail what safety procedures you believe should have been in place to prevent the injury and how they would have prevented the injury.

The "Be Bold" Scholarship is a no-essay scholarship that will be awarded to the applicant with the boldest profile. It takes less than 2 minutes to apply.

The scholarship will be awarded to the student whose profile is most bold, according to these characteristics.

Science Saves Video Scholarship
Awards: 1st Place: $10,000, 2nd Place: $2,000, 3rd Place: $1,000, People Choice: $1,000 and Honorable Mentions: $250
Due Date: May 5, 2025 @ Midnight
Create a 20-30 second video answering the question “What has science done for me?” or “What has science done for somebody I know?” You will be judged on your ability to highlight how science saves in a succinct, creative way with original photos, video clips, and text. Be sure to add #ScienceSaves to your video.
