WHS Courses/ICAP (Individual Career and Academic Plan)

Each student at WHS has an individual career and academic plan (ICAP) that is updated at least once per year through an individual planning meeting with Mrs. Kertz. These meetings take place January through March to prepare for the next school year and focus the courses students are taking toward their desired Career Cluster.

Students complete lessons through Missouri Connections each year to evaluate their skills and interests to see how they align with career clusters. They conduct career and college research and explore the cost of college/post-secondary training.

Students are also provided with opportunities throughout their high school career such as Career Day where they hear from speakers in occupations from each career path, job shadowing, college tours, the REALL simulation, mock interviews, hearing from a college student panel, etc.
