The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution. Essay of 500-1000 words required.

Bezos Scholars Program

Each year, the Bezos Scholarship program selects the top 30 high school juniors across the US and Africa. The program kicks off with an all expenses-paid scholarship to the Aspen Ideas Festival in Aspen, CO. Brian Pearson Memorial Scholarship

For High School Juniors

One $1,000 scholarship annually will be awarded to one male and one female Iowan. Throughout the selection process, the degree of participation in the Iowa Games will be given consideration, as well as the applicant’s display of character. Eligible recipients for the 2013 scholarship are those students who will be in their junior year of high school during the 2012-13 school year. The award must be used in pursuit of post high school education. Winners will be invited to attend and participate at the Summer Iowa Games Opening Ceremony in Ames on July 19, 2013.

Business Horizons (BH) is a weeklong program at Central College In Pella, Iowa, available to students who are currently 9-12 graders across the state to learn about value-centered entrepreneurship, financial literacy, leadership, teamwork and goal setting skills. It will provide you with essential fundamentals on how to achieve goals and reach new heights. Central College is pleased to announce that any student who participates in Business Horizons and applies, is admitted and chooses to attend Central, will be guaranteed a minimum of $12,000 in Central College scholarship assistance, renewable for all four years.

College Jumpstart Scholarship

The College JumpStart Scholarship is an annual, merit-based competition -- financial need is not considered -- that is open to 10th-12th graders, college students and non-traditional students.

Gates Millennium Scholars

The Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) Program selects 1,000 talented minority students each year to receive a good-through-graduation scholarship to use at any college or university of their choice. We provide Gates Millennium Scholars with personal and professional development through our leadership programs along with academic support throughout their college career.

Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award

The Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award is a $5,000 scholarship program for Iowa high school juniors. The program annually identifies and honors up to 15 Iowa high school juniors who propose and then accomplish a project of their own choosing and design. Grades, test scores, essays and financial need are not evaluated. Students chosen will attend a two day workshop at the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library in June and give a presentation of their project in October.

2015 Hills Bank and Leadership Grant 201

Student must be a Junior in Keokuk, Washington, or Johnson County. Grant scholarship amount is $1000. Students do not need to be a current 4-H member to apply. Applications are due February 1, 2016 and can be found online at www.iowa4hfoundation.org/en/funding opportunities/scholarships/.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the United States' largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service. The program was created in 1995 by Prudential in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) to honor middle level and high school students for outstanding service to others at the local, state, and national level.

Eligibility: Students in grades 5-12, a US citizen, and engaged in volunteer activity in the last 12 months, and submits and application.

Samsung American Legion Scholarship

Must have attended American Legion Boys State or Girls State and be a direct descendant (child, grandchild) of a wartime veteran to be considered. Special consideration given to those descendants of Korean War veterans.

Washington County Cattlemen's Association Queen and Princess Application

This application is for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. Applicants must have a cover sheet with name, age, phone number, high school graduation date, current school name, college choice, intended major and expected college graduation date. They should list all extra-curricular activities and leadership opportunities they have encountered within their school and community.
