We're in the heart of the fall semester at UNI and have started to find our new normal in the Office of Admissions. We hope you’re feeling the same way. Here’s some updates we wanted to share with you.

    • Scholarships. As you know, the Iowa Board of Regents has issued a temporary, one-year waiver to the ACT/SAT testing requirement for students. We wanted to make sure you knew that UNI is still offering scholarships to students who apply without a test score. Students may still submit test scores after they've been admitted to UNI to be considered for additional scholarship awards.

    • On-Campus Visits. UNI is currently offering Daily Campus Visits for students and their families. Students who have been admitted to UNI are invited to join us for an Admitted Student Day on campus as well. These safety guidelines for visitors to campus are in place.

    • Virtual Visits. UNI has a number of virtual visit options available for students, including counselor appointments, Panther Spotlights, Open Houses and a Conference Series, Power in Pride: LGBTQIA+ Series for LGBTQIA+ students and allies. These events allow students to visit us without traveling to campus!

    • FAFSA. The FAFSA is now open for students and their families to complete. The UNI School Code is 001890. Financial aid counselors are available to help families through virtual appointments, phone conversations (319-273-2700) or by email (fin-aid@uni.edu).

    • Spring 2021 Students. If you have any students graduating early and intending to enroll at UNI in the spring, know that we’re here to assist with orientation registration, housing contracts, scholarships and more.

    • Get to know Terri, our new Admissions Director. We’re excited to have Terri Crumley leading the Admissions team at UNI! Here’s a recent interview of Terri we wanted to share.

As always, know that admission counselors are available to answer any questions you or your students may have.
