Make a blog, like tumblr or wordpress. Email me the link to your public facing blog, put DigiMedia in the subject line. Write a post with your name, why you are taking the class, where you think you'll excel and struggle. You can also take this opportunity to tell me more about yourself as in favorite designers, artists, inventors, what you want to be tomorrow or in ten years....
Read Graphic Design the new basics through the chapter on texture. It looks like a lot but it should take you max a couple of hours, it is mostly terms and pictures.
Homework due Monday by 10AM:
Design analysis - Find some designs in real life, in a book, on the internet or in your room. Post an image of one design/piece you like, where it is from, what is compelling about the design. Post another image of a design/piece you dislike, where you found it, what is off putting about it and how you think it could be improved upon.
