functions/glitch

homework

Watch function basics, functions with parameters, functions with return statements, optional: for those that want to know more about programming paradigms - intro to functional programming - don't worry about adopting this paradigm fully, but it is helpful to think about programming this way , she goes on about map and reduce which can be super helpful, but I think forLoops are still great. This is the counter point to the object oriented programming paradigm

Meet with your partner(s) for 30mins minimum to discuss ways to convert your projects to functional blocks of code. Try writing out each other's projects as pseudo code (post the pseudo code and a link to their source project in the pseudo code channel)

Re-make a past project (save it as a new project in glitch, don't overwrite the old one) using functions to break up your code into reusable concise chunks. Try to use english readable names to make the code read as what it does. You can improve the code once you have converted it to a functional project, by using loops, and making the interaction more complex. Post links to both the source project and the updated project hosted on glitch to your blog. Discuss how meeting with someone else helped or hindered your process.
