MIDTERMS......eeeEEK!...

The midterm is a speculative design project based around you and your data. You will each choose a company you use and speculate as to what they know about you from your interactions with them. You may also choose your garbage can if you'd like. The core concept to address is what information you are unknowingly making public through passive data transfers, e.g. the meta data embedded in images you upload to IG or Snap, the browser or phone model you view the site from, the time and regularity with which you browse or what you look for at differing times. Do you watch something different on youtube at home than you do on your phone?

With this information what can the company infer about you? You fake data based on your habits or what you are trying to say about your habits. The data can be as accurate as you wish to share.

Design an infographic that will be made for the web that addresses this through the lens of a single company you use. The infographic will ultimately be a website, but first please make a Illustrator or Photoshop mock up.

Schedule:

10% - Wireframes due on blogs by 10/11

30% - Mock-ups due on blogs and emailed by 6pm on 10/16

50% - Website due 10/23

10% - Presentation 3 minutes 10/23

Wireframes : 50 hand drawn fast wire frames, choose 5, then do 10 more based on those, choose 1 out of those 10.

Mock-ups : Mobile and Web designs of your infographic

Website : pixel perfect responsive infographic on codepen

presentation : 3 minutes to tell us why your design is the best ever...
