Fryer (grade 9), Galois (grade 10) and Hypatia (grade 11) math contests are contests designed by the University of Waterloo to give students the opportunity to have fun and develop their mathematical problem solving ability. The goal of this contest is to challenge students with new skills by allowing them to apply what they have learned in the math classroom in different settings. It also encourages them to practise math outside the classroom.
