The year to the bear isn’t very long.
It hibernates for months at a time
just sleeping away. It ignores the plants
dying and the frost on the ground to wake up
to the flowers already bloomed. It ignores the
death and the birth and pays attention
to the constant earth. Imagine the sun
never rising to a good night’s sleep
and never setting to a good day. The
average amount of suicide amongst
bears annually is
zero.
