You saw through the broken glass of the window pane

An anorexic naked woman

A lonely child with no shoes

A teethless balding old man

On one side of the slum

Live the dead

On one side all the others

And between them there’s a log

Burning

In the dark

Like a bonfire

You watch a legless man

Passing by on a simple plank

Dragging himself with his  hands

In the desert

Or to an exit
