Q: My Zebra R110Xi is printing a high amount of VOID labels, can this be prevented?
A: If your printer is printing an unusually high number of VOID (RFID tags that can not be programmed properly) ensure that your printer is properly calibrated. See How to calibrate a Zebra R110Xi for more information on calibration.
If your printer has already been calibrated, visibly check your RFID labels for damage. A roll with too many damaged labels may be returned to SimplyRFiD for replacement.
You should also ensure that your printer has the latest firmware version installed. More recent RFID inlays will not properly program with old printer firmware versions. If you need a walkthrough for upgrading your printer firmware, please Contact an RFID Expert, or contact Zebra technical support.
