The NOX-TM4 is designed specifically for use on metal parts. Its small form factor makes it the perfect tag for tracking laptops, servers and tools. The NOX-TM4 is durable and withstands hazardous environments up to 400F including autoclave. NOX-TM4 tags can be boiled, crushed, burned or frozen and will always come out unscathed. This metal-mount RFID tag can be read reliably at 10' when applied directly to metal.

NEW: For an even smaller tag, our new Nox-TM3 is now available. Just 3 centimeters (1" in length).

Difficult is the average range on a non-metal surface. The Nox-TM4 does not perform well without direct or near-direct contact to metal. Most laptops have metal areas that are ideal for tagging.

Will this tag work on non-metal parts?
- - Yes. However, the read range is significantly reduced to around 1 foot.
How do I attach the tag?
- - A 3M 9472LE adhesive strip is included on the back of the tag. This works well in commercial office environments. Additionally, the tag has two holes for using a screw mount or a super-adhesive/epoxy could be applied to provide a stronger bond.
What do I need to send in to place an order?
- - Serial #'s - either a list or a range of numbers. These tags hold a 24 digit HEX number. We recommend you use it all and encode the begining with a header. As RFID becomes more prevalent, using '1 through 1,000' will drive you crazy because you will read thousands of other companies tags.
  - Label Type: Yellow, White, or None.
  - Barcode Format: Code 128 is standard.
  - Barcode value: We encode the last 6 digits and print human readable. These can be HEX or Decimal. We recommend you use HEX.

- - This is pretty common so here's what we recommend:
    - Yellow Label
    - Code 128 Barcode
    - Last 6 HEX digits displayed
    - Pre-Programmed in the DoD EPC 24-digit Format
    - Using SimplyRFiD's Department of Defense Guaranteed Unique ID
What RFID Readers work with these tags?

  - No Label will be all black with no human readable ID on tag
