Introduction : Pathology is the study of disease and the structural and functional changes produced by the disease. A pathogen is the causative agent of the disease. Pathogens are not limited to bacteria. This lab inquiry will explore samples of bacteria which affect animals and humans.

B. Observe the bacteria with the Digital Microscope:
1. Get an image in low power and label it using Google Draw. Label the cell wall, magnification, type of bacteria, and identify an individual bacterium.
2.. Get an image in high power and label it using Google Draw. Label the cell wall, magnification, type of bacteria, and identify an individual bacterium. Take a measurement in micrometersand be sure that it can be read in your picture.
