A. On the NanoWorld site, or through a Google Search:

1. Find out what a "Scanning Electron Microscope "is. Briefly describe what it is. Click on Scanning electron microscopes and pick any of the SEMs listed to see a photo of an SEM. What does it look like?

2. Find out what a "Transmission Electron Microscope "is. Describe it and its magnification ability. What does it look like?

B. Find a colorized SEM image on the web or Go to the XTalent Image Gallery".

Click on " Artistically Modified":

Look around at the images. The color has been added. SEMs are in black and white.

3. Choose an image :

a. Name it

b. Double click on the image and Copy/Paste it into a Google Doc

c. Write a description of the image. Be sure to include the magnification.

Submit a Google Doc with your digital images and descriptions on Google Classroom.
