2-9 Music Video

Students will create a music Video for a chosen song and express themselves creatively with attention to story and timing.

OBJECTIVES:



OBJECTIVES: By the end of this lesson, students will:

    • Upload song. Choose 15 seconds.

    • Animate backdrop

    • Animate two Sprites.

    • Complete animation

    • Note: A third day may be required to showcase work.

TEACHER RESOURCES:

Project (20-30 minutes)

There is no mini lesson, students should start on their project after a quick refresher from teacher.

Day2:

    • Students upload their song from the teacher created ( Music Folder) and edit their song to a 15 second snippet.

    • Student animate the backdrop and 1-2 sprites in their video.

    • Review change backdrop command and the hide/show sprite command.

    • Students share their work in their scratch studio.

    • Leave time to showcase work, either during this class period or at the start of the next class. Students need to share their work with each other.

TEACHER GUIDANCE: This project highlights comcepts learned in Unit 2. Students use loops and animation to express themselves through music.

Sharing work with peers is essential for this project. Students critique each other work, look inside to see the code and learn tips and tricks from each other.

Close-Out

Leave time for Gallery walk at the end of this class or the start of the next class. Celebrate students achievements and self expression. It helps build community and pride in work.
