The card game Slap is a fast moving game for 2-6 people that helps develop processing speed and pattern and number recognition.  You play the game with a regular deck of cards and remove the Jokers.

The dealer shuffles the deck and deals all the cards out face down in front of each player.

The player to the left of the dealer goes first and turns over their top card in the center.

The next player turns over a card and places it on the center pile.  If the top two cards match, the first player to call "Slap" takes all the cards from the center.

Here we see matching tens, so the first player to call "Slap" would take these cards.  Play continues until someone runs out of cards.  The person with the most cards wins.

We wanted the marble to take as long as possible to run the track.  We did some planning and also tested each piece before moving onto the next piece.

Some times we had to adjust the angles.  It was fun to have to figure it out!

Let it Run!

We liked watching the marble run its track.

We were wondering if given the same supplies how we might make another track and if we could make the marble run longer!
